为什么选择米达颜料

Why choose us, it is a big and rigorous topic, we can discuss from the application, technical and experience

Pigments for water based ink .

we know Water-based ink is a special type of ink that uses water as the main solvent instead of traditional organic solvents,Two keys to this application, water based pigments need Excellent wettability and adhesion(can quickly adhere to the printing medium during the printing process

and maintain stable color and performance after drying.)and Compatibility  with other materials( have strong compatibility with other coatings and inks, and can be used in composite printing and multi-layer printing. usually, we add the additives into the pigments while producing to modify the characters.

Pigments for solvent based ink .

Solvent-based ink is made of solvents, resin, the connecting material, pigment and additives. It’s widely used for flexographic, gravure, screen printing and UV printing etc. Solvents mainly include alcohols, esters, benzenes, and ketones etc.The main connecting materials include resins like PA (polyamide/nylon), PAA (polyacrylic acid), NC (nitrocellulose), PU (polyurethane), CPP (chlorinated polypropylene) etc. Solvent based inks are mainly divided into two categories: surface printing and inner printing inks. As the name suggests, printing on the surface and printing on the inside. Both categories are different in printing processes, abrasiveness, the using of solvents, resins and additives etc.

In addition, surface printing ink has higher request on abrasiveness but with faster print speed. Its main solvents are dimethylbenzene and isopropanol; And important connecting materials are resins like PA (polyamide/nylon) and PAA (polyacrylic acid), which make the ink with good adhesion and brilliant gloss, but not applicable under high-temperature conditions. Inner printing ink mainly use toluene and ethyl acetate as the solvents. And its main resins are CPP (chlorinated polypropylene), NC (nitrocellulose), VC/VAC (vinyl chloride vinyl acetate copolymer) etc. For high-temperature or boiling-resistance inner printing ink, acetone and ethyl acetate are the main solvents.

That solvent based pigments need 1) Compatibility, that Ensure that the pigment matches the printing equipment and connecting resin used, thereby enabling better dispersion of pigments in the ink systems, ensuring good fluidity/viscosity and storage stability of inks.

2) Transparency and Hiding power

Transparency of pigment refers to degree of light transmission of the ink film formed after pigments formulated into ink and printed on paper or other materials. Hiding power is the covering power of the pigment to the underlying layer.

3)Solubility

Organic Pigments is soluble in some extent in inks, especially in the inks made of solvents with strong solubility. So this kind of inks usually require highly on Acid resistance, Alkali resistance, Alcohol resistance, Ester resistance, Benzene resistance and Ketone resistance.

Pigments for Offset ink

Offset ink is a specific type of ink used in conjunction with offset printing presses, such as those used to produce letterpress or lithography prints. Such ink must be specially formulated to resist other chemicals it will come in contact with on the printing press. It is widely used for printing high-quality images and text on various substrates such as paper, cardboard, and certain plastics.

It is crucial that offset ink resist water-in-ink emulsification (e.g., repel rather than absorb water). It also should withstand degradation by the fountain solution that covers the non-printing areas of the engraved plate. Offset ink needs to be very rich in pigment so that its full color vibrancy is perceptible, even in minute quantity.

There are many types of pigments used in the manufacture of offset printing inks. Organic pigments include insoluble azo pigments (such as Pigment Yellow 12, Pigment Yellow 14), azo lake pigments (such as Pigment Red 49:1, Pigment Red 53:1, Pigment Red 57:1), phthalocyanine pigments (such as phthalocyanine blue B-15:3, green G-7), heterocyclic pigments, etc.

The pigments need high 1) gloss, It refers to an ink’s own ability to reflect light, and depends on the lay or smoothness of the ink film on the substrate surface.

Choose better gloss makes ink’s gloss better. 2)FLow,Make sure the paint has the best flow required, neither too long nor too short. Long-flow ink has good fluidity, short-flow ink has poor fluidity.

3)Strength ,Choose suitable strength pigments to meet target budget.

4)Color,Choose a color that matches the desired printing effect.the most widely used ink color is black. Then come cyan, magenta and yellow.

5) Particle size,Choose the appropriate size of pigment particles as it affects the oil Absorption of the ink and printing quality.

Pigments for textile printing

Pigments used in textile printing ink/paste are specially formulated to adhere to fabric fibers and withstand various textile processing methods. Textile printing inks/pastes are applied to fabrics to create intricate designs, patterns, or solid colors. These pigments should exhibit good color fastness, durability, and resistance to washing and rubbing.

The four main methods of textile printing are block, roller, screen, and heat transfer printing. In each of these methods, the application of the color, usually as a thickened paste, is followed by fixation, usually by steaming or heating, and then removal of excess color by washing. Printing styles are classified as direct, discharge, or resist.

Pigments need

1, Vibrant Colors: Disperse dyes are favored for their vivid and saturated colors, making them ideal for printing vibrant and colorful patterns in digital transfer printing.

2, High Dispersion Capability: Disperse dyes exhibit excellent dispersion, quickly dispersing in water to form a uniform dye solution. This feature ensures even absorption of the dye onto the fiber surface during the digital printing process.

3, Coverage on Fibers: Disperse dyes typically penetrate and cover fibers well, ensuring that printed patterns on the fabric surface appear clear and sharp.

4, High Stability: Disperse dyes demonstrate color stability post-printing, resisting fading from light, water, and washing. This ensures the durability and longevity of printed designs.

5, Rapid Coloring: Disperse dyes offer fast coloring, a crucial factor for efficient production in the digital printing process.

Pigments for plastic

Plastic is composed of synthetic polymers, and its plasticity and processability have made it widely used in many different fields. Plastic products have various characteristics, such as durability, lightweight, insulation performance, etc., making them suitable for various purposes.

Plastic masterbatch is pigment particle that used for coloring plastic product. It's pre mixed with pigments and plastic substrates to form granules. Can be fully mixed with plastic raw materials through processes like mixing, extrusion, and injection molding to evenly disperse the color.

In daily industrial production, the use of color masterbatches is convenient and easy, uniformity and stability, environmental protection and cost saving, which is more widespread than directly using pigment powder to color plastics.

Pigments need 1)Material compatibility, Consider the compatibility between the pigment and carrier material . Ensure the pigment can be evenly dispersed without causing instability or separation.2)Cost factor, Consider the procurement and preparation costs of pigments to ensure the selection of appropriate pigments within the budget.

3) Quality and supply reliability, Choose reliable pigment suppliers, establish stable cooperative relationships, and ensure the quality and supply reliability of pigments.

4)Color stability, Different pigments may exhibit a trend of color fading or bleeding due to different environmental conditions such as temperature and climate. Choose pigments with good color stability to ensure consistency in color during long-term use.

Industrial paint

Paint is used for the protection and decoration of equipment, ships, containers, bridges, gas cabinets, port machinery, chemical equipment, railway tank cars, power machinery, storage tanks, pipeline inner walls, various steel structures, concrete, etc. produced by industrial enterprises.

Paints include asphalt paint, alkyd paint, amino paint, epoxy paint, polyurethane paint, acrylic paint, silicone paint, fluorocarbon paint, rubber paint, and other paints.

Pigments often make up a large percentage of original paint blends and products. Pigments consist of organic and inorganic materials provide the following benefits to paint:

1)A solid base for binder reactions. 2) Resistance to ultraviolet light. 3)Added color, texture, and physical properties.

Pigment for Automotive Paint

Organic pigments used in automotive paint are essential for providing vibrant and durable colors to vehicles while withstanding harsh environmental conditions. Automotive paint must not only offer visual appeal but also protect the vehicle's surface from UV radiation, weathering, and chemical exposure.

Pigment for Decorative Paint

Organic pigments used in decorative paint are crucial for providing an extensive array of colors and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of interior and exterior surfaces. Decorative paints are commonly used for residential and commercial applications, including walls, ceilings, trim, and various decorative elements.

Pigment for Powder Coatings

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminium extrusions, drum hardware, automobiles, and bicycle frames. Advancements in powder coating technology like UV-curable powder coatings allow for other materials such as plastics, composites, carbon fiber.

Pigment for Road Marking Paint

Organic pigments used in road marking paint play a crucial role in providing color, visibility, and durability. These are selected based on their color strength, light fastness, weather resistance, and durability to withstand the harsh conditions of road environments. In road marking paints, the pigments are typically dispersed in a binder or resin to form a homogeneous paint that adheres well to the road surface and retains its color and visibility over time.
